Wingfoiling
Learn how to Wingfoil
We will teach how to how to wingfoil starting from the basics.
Theory part:
you will learn which equipment you need, the parts of the wing, the board and foil, the wind theory, safety and spot check.
Practice:
Then we will go straight to the practice part. Starting at the beach, you will learn how to hold the wing, how to create drag and how to depower.
You will learn the first steps on a SUP, understanding then the balance, first from the knees and then how to stand up.
Once you master the balance and power of the wing on the SUP, you will learn much faster to stand on a wingfoil board with a foil underneath and do the first take offs.

Insurance
In order to rent equipment, you need to have an insurance. There are 2 possibilites:
1- You have the VDWS Safety tool. To book it, please click here: VDWS Safety Tool
2 – You pay 50€ per week as Makani Insurance (only equipment from Makani is insured)
License to rent
To rent equipment, you need a license that corresponds to VDWS level 3.
You can also purchase a license from us on site for 60€ (Check hour + test)

All kitesurfers have to register at Makani and will benefit of using of all infrastructures and premium service from arrival until departure:

We have secure storage for individuals or groups so you can bring your own gear that you are comfortable with and keep it safely with us.

Makani Beach Club El Gouna is the perfect destination all the year round. The temperatures are warm, with constant side on-shore wind, and on average there more than 70% good kiting days each year. The conditions are perfect for kiters of all levels with a lagoon that has flat water with a sandy bottom without reef or stones.
Our lagoon is also unique in El Gouna, as even during low tide we still have good water depth to kitesurf safely, allowing our guests to get out and have a session anytime during the entire day.
There is a high and low tide every 12 hours with up to 80cm difference in water depth between them. We have thousands of square meters of soft, sandy bottom flat water off of our beach, so there is always somewhere to find a safe depth for your experience. Come and kite in el Gouna with us!

We are located in El Gouna, a little town in the Red Sea, just about 30 minutes away from Hurghada, Egypt. Our kitesurf spot is located on the northern beaches of El Gouna, where steady winds makes us enjoy everyday kite in El Gouna!
